Not sure if this is a “thing” or not but I was wondering if any of the boats ever take on someone to help pay for fuel. Not looking to fight any fish (have caught sails on fly and marlin in past so no bucket list issue here) but help and learn for when I am out there on my own boat. If true labor is needed can donate twin 18 year olds who work fuel dock but are free during day. Just wondering.

Not sure of the answer but I suggest you talk to the marina operator Bryan Bell. There are a number of boats that fish out Edisto that participate in the tournament and perhaps over the next days or weeks he could introduce you to them I also think the tournament needs observers for each day of fishing. good luck.
