Great Conditions at Edisto

Edisto’s waters are so fickle. Monday the water was muddy and unfishable (for artificals) in most areas. I did run up a couple of creeks that don’t have as much tidal flow and found clearer water. Yesterday the water was green with two foot visibility and should stay this way over the weekend (no guarantees) . First stop: a redfish flat, fish on every cast with Berkeley Gulps. Next, the trout, which were up the creeks in deeper (6-10 foot) water. I couldn’t get a topwater bite, but that doesn’t mean there’s not one today. I ran about ten spots and the trout were stacked in three of them. Not every cast, but two or three fish, a 5 minute lull, then 2 or three more. All fish didn’t need measuring and were caught on Trout Trick on 1/8th ounce jigheads. Hope this helps your Thanksgiving fishing. Bob
