Great defense

ALWAYS beats good offense. Just ask Clemzzzon . Hardly anybody gave the Seahawks a chance. I was one of the few

While there is no doubt Seattle’s D played a major role in the win, Denver did nothing to help itself. Turnovers, an O line that couldn’t adequately protect Manning and crappy special teams had a part in that loss. The tone was set with the first snap. Should have just taken a 2 - 0 loss at that point.

So you just , pretty much , explained what a great defense causes a good offense to do??????

Key West 1720 115 HP Johnson Saltwater.

I wasn’t discounting Seattle’s D but, the defense had nothing to do with poor kick coverage and I am pretty sure they didn’t cause a high snap. The D was great, my point was Denver just made matters worse with poor play. If they had played lights out, I still think Seattle would have won but it would have at least been a game worth watching.

Of course D made a couple stupid mistakes, but that didn’t cause the debacle they ended up with. The Hawks’ defence played havock on the opposing team and turned them into jelly.

That Coke commercial made me a Pepsi drinker…

I think that they should have a “re-do”. That game wasn’t worth watching, and it was a “Super Lame Bowl” if anything. Maybe we should have another game in a few weeks and call THAT the super bowl…

Even if “my” team isn’t in the SB, I pick one and pull for them as if they were my team. Last night it was the Hawks…and it WAS a good game. Depends on your perspective…

Would have been boring if I just wanted to watch a ballgame.

I was pulling for Denver however after the 2nd interception I quit watching .

I DONT HAVE A BOAT
BUT LOVE TO FISH> HINT

Well…Clemson should have a better defense next year so if defense always beats offense that bodes well for us in death valley in November.

Fear the index finger!

A good game??? Maybe you haven't watched any nail biters. I don't consider it a "good game" when fans check out in the 3rd quarter to watch the bachelor instead of what is supposed to be the biggest sporting event in the world. This certainly will not go down as a classic. I can promise you that...

A “good game” doesn’t have to be a nail biter. You have a small view of sports if that’s all you believe a good game to be.

A good game can also be a skillful team tearing apart a very formidable foe. I don’t give a **** about other fans. They were not in my house watching my tv.

Classic or not, it’ll be in the record books as one of the most one-sided games in SB history.

LoL @ people arguing over what they feel like was a waste of time.

Jason, not all good games have to be nail biters. There have been some nail biters like the Patriots games of 2007 and 2012, but I’d rate this one as exciting just to see 1 team TOTALLY dominate the other.

I’d rate the Cardinals-Steelers, and the Packers-Steelers games from few years ago as the boring ones.

Should probably be the middle one

The last pro team that had a defense like the Hawks I remember was the old steel curtain D in Pittsburg. That was a “D” schoolin. Madden called it right too. 5 times now the #1 O played the #1 D in a superbowl. D vs O 4-1

Well I concede that a “good game” is a blowout when you have a dog in the fight (for your team, obviously). That said, of the 110+ million people that watched the super bowl, probably over 100 million of us couldn’t care less about either team. We (yeah, I’m part of that 100 million that doesn’t give a crap about Seattle or Denver) want to watch a “good game” meaning a well-fought, tight game where both teams give their best effort.

The Super Bowl wasn’t that game. Even a Seattle fan should be able to admit that Denver didn’t put their best foot forward. It’s certainly a fair result on the football field, but it’s not surprising that the casual football fan was channel surfing midway through the third quarter.
