A buddy and I fished this morning from about 6:40am till about 11:00am. We caught three reds, 7 trout with 6 of those being really really nice. We released all of them but it was a great morning. Beaufort river.
We were throwing mirrorlure top dog jrs and the bite didn’t really take off until around 9am.
Sounds like a great trip. Good job on letting them live.

I fished with a guide in eastern NC that throws topwater almost all day in the summer. He really has success doing it and I have fallen in love with it.
That was one productive morning! I have never tried casting top water baits for trouts and reds, but I am eager to try. What are the best colors for the Mirrolure Top Dog Jrs. I should try? Thanks!
