Great surf bite Tuesday afternoon

Fished the surf on the incoming tide Tuesday from around 1230pm to about 5pm using dead shrimp and cut mullet. The bite was really going off. Two of us fishing three rods and there were times we couldn’t keep up with fish. Caught/released around 25 fish, mostly reds in the 20-30 inch range but we did have two or three over 30 inches. Lots of fish caught in shin deep water.Get out there while you can!

Don’t let everybody know how it’s done. I enjoy watching folks wade “through” the fish to cast. Just after Low tide to incoming, new moon coming up, shin to hip deep water…?

Wish I could fish on Tuesdays. Which surf?

Great report ! Glad to hear someone’s catching. I sure would love to be able to fish during the week.

Maybe a bit off topic, but reminds me of something funny that happened last time I was out. I’m catching fish left and right from the shore while this kid is wading out neck deep to cast and not catching anything. No joke after about two hours he approaches me and asks if I think he isn’t getting his bait out far enough.

I was out Tuesday on the outgoing. 430-8ish and had a lot of good luck as well. No reds unfortunately but plenty of lady, blue and whiting. One of the blue fish was good size (for me). Still need to adjust my set up though and quick as the reds are here obviously. Need to get hose magic orange beads ;). I was on IOP where were you OP
