well the weekend at edisto was a great success. me and a friend stayd friday-sunday at live oak campground. fished the creek that is right there at the serpentarium(dont know the name). ended up catching a little bit of everything
total
6- reds 13-23"
4- flounder largest was 16"
8- trout largest was 15"
lots of big gar under the bridge, had a blast hookin them and letin them pull us around, must have caught 30 or so
caught a few rays,toadfish and lizard fish
also fishd the golf course with ultralight and had fun catching some ladyfish, those things can realy put on a great show jumping. all in all it was a spectacular weekend i wish i was still there.
also the shrimp were in pretty thick, caught enough to fill a small cooler while catching mullet for bait.

Going to Edisto next week Mon thru Sat and can’t wait to get there. Went in August and it was to hot. So I had to book another trip. Thanks for the info sounded like a great time. Was Steamboat open yet? This is the first time I am actually going to be able to take my boat.
seapro, dont know if steamboat is open. i fish from a 16 foot scanoe with a trolling motor so i didnt have to use the landing. we just tote it from the bank.
I believe steamboat opened several weeks ago maybe a little longer

Steamboat Landing opened on September 9…After catching fish in the ponds, I would not advise eating any fish from the golf course ponds. Lots of chemicals keeping them greens green</font id=“green”>.
