Took the new to me boat offshore for its first trip out of Charleston. Ran out to 85 feet and started dropping lines. Had a great day with a few unexpected cobia coming over the rails ( one of which easily maxing out the 30# boga ), more than enough tasty bottom dwellers and an hour or so visit from a 11-12 foot great white. I had never had a great white beside the boat before, all I could think was “wow”. It was very cool!
Thank you for posting your report. You are very fortunate to see a great white shark while fishing and catching some cobia. I saw a great white sharks a couple years ago while freedive spearfishing in Catalina Island. Will never forget that day.
My wife used to be the jealous type, but since she got me some crocs she no longer has to worry. Any man that will wear those in public is surely faithful.
Skinny must not have any hell in him, I believe he is fearless on the shark issue. I’d love to dive off our coast, but something about jugging a few fish and having them bleeding that close to me while bringing back to the boat kind of unnerves me.
