Great day offshore on Floored. Kent, Stephan and i headed out for some deep dives. First dive in 160’ we bumbled around like we never held a speargun. Missed 2 40 pound or so gags and Stephan did the same. Thats a long deco with a empty stringer. Kent went down on the next spot and put some good hogs and grouper in the boat. Rolling up to the next spot we sent down some squid so the girls could catch fish. Bait didn’t make it to the bottom and i hear… “look at that fish jumping” Ali got her first dolphin. Kent and Stephan dive the spot and surface with some real nice hefty gag grouper. Shot a nice cobia in 100’ that beat me up pretty good. While doing our stops kent and I were absolutely surrounded by big african pompano. Back on the boat we rigged up line guns then went back down and hung out at 30’ Only saw 2 and shot 1 big one. Man those things are tasty! We didn’t set the world on fire but it was a ■■■■ good day.
That stuff looks like fun, too bad I so old and out of shape to even think of a 100 foot dive anymore. You really need to take a camera down and take a few shots of what you are seeing.
Really nice pictures, or at least the subjects in them were really nice. Lucky dogs.

■■■■ the pompano I want the Lobster, looked like a beatuiful day on the water. What happened to the dark haired model from the other post? You boys are having to much fun.
Great post…as usual. As for the Pompano, I was at Water’s Edge last Wednesday when the boat that moors next to the Thunderstar brought in a Pompano that should have set a new record. It was weighed at Mt.P Seafood and was 38.4, I believe. I’m a realist (pessimist?) so I went in the freezer to check it out and it was a friggin’ MONSTER. I’m surprised that I haven’t read anything about it.
