New to Surf Fishing new to area. Going to try fishing Breach Inlet any tips such as which side, ocean or inlet side and bait. Don’t expect any secrets just some basic info. thanks
My honest opinion about breach inlet is avoid it and fish the beach just around the corner. I’ve never caught anything worth while at breach. There’s a ton of nice sandbars on the Isle of palms side right around the corner from breach. Start there, that’s my advice.

2nd avoiding breach inlet. If you are stuck on that spot - go to 3rd instead.
Was just around the corner today from breach inlet. Really nice sandbar to the left. Lots of whiting and blues.
Thanks guys any advice on bait and tide?

shrimp will get you whiting and bluefish to use as bait. as for tide, i prefer 2 hours before and after high tide. Welcome to the forum, Mountaineer. I assume you are from the mighty WV
Hadrels bait and tackle shop is not far from breach inlet-8435733474 easy to find . They can get you everything u need, and will also fill u in or if budget allows have a day to remember with one of the ‘KILLER CAPTAINS’ on this site they have multiple options boat, surf fishing, they could put you on a flying shark-serious. Welcome to Charleston good luck.
I don’t know if it’s too early for bait to be holding there but you might be able to net some mullet by the marina. I fish station 29-32 SI frequently. Lots of whiting and sharks usually. Rare red or trout.
The closer you are to the inlet the less people you deal with.

I want to catch them all
Yeah I’m from WV from trout streams to the ocean who would have thunk it. Thought of Breach after a day of no where to park but here.
In my experience breach has only produced from the bridge. Whiting, flounder, small bsb, and Spanish. Just get yourself some live bait and work the rocks or throw jigs along the bridge, bait will be running along side the bridge scared to go under. Pretty often have seen schools of bluefish and mackerel crushing those scared schools of mullet/menhaden.
