Guide for the North Edisto

Hello, everyone. I am looking for either a guide who does the North Edisto, Leadenwah, Bohicket area OR someone who can give me general tips on fishing this area. Catch and release 90% of the time. I live on Yonges Island and can’t seem to find the fish and I have put in plenty of work attempting.

Thanks and Happy 2015!

Yep. He’s worth every penny too. I learned more in a few hours with him than I did in 10 years prior to that trip. It was awesome.

That is exactly what I just learned from a colleague who went out with Ron a couple of years ago. Does anyone happen to have a phone number for Ron?

Thank you for clearing that up, David. We are booked with Ron Davis for either Wednesday or Friday. Might slip to Saturday depending on this erratic weather.

Well, my neighbor and I went out with Ron Davis on 1/2/15 and it was everything we expected and more. Ron took us to about eight places and there was fish at every spot. We caught about dozen reds all day between all of us, but the real purpose was to learn areas and techniques. Ron gave us quite a lot of information to digest and answered every question we had. I learned a couple of really important things; I need a trolling motor and fishing in shallow water is where the action is.

Ron took us places I have been by numerous times and I never bothered to investigate. He is a class guy and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn fishing techniques or to improve your own fishing skills.

I fished an artificial all day and caught fish which is pretty rare for me. We saw a ton of fish, but they weren’t very cooperative. Still. I know where they are and how to fish them now. I am primarily a catch and release guy, so I won’t be hurting the schools too much.

The areas are much closer to home than I normally fish and that will be a big benefit going forward. Thanks again Ron for a fun and informative day on the water!
