I don’t have as many stars under my belt as you do simply because I typically don’t respond to BS that seems to ensue sometimes on this site. Believe me, I have nothing to do with Guy Harvey. My point to your post was that you offer very little in the way of helping other board members with ideas on boating, waterway safety, political discussion or anything else for that matter. It is always, Guy Harvey wants you to give me a free ride so I can talk about my day in his magazine. That’s it. Even your posts from years ago are asking for a trip offshore. Believe me, I really am not an a$$hole. I do play one on the internet though and from what I can tell, you are here only with your hand out.
I recall asking to pay my way under match ups years ago when my boat was in the shop. Wasn’t asking for a HAND OUT then or now by any means. I am not going to sit here and ramble on about how wonderful Guy Harvey is when it will only sound partial considering that I am working for him. The fact of the matter is, I am working for a company that is International, gets a lot of exposure and in turn will give a charter a lot of exposure. I have contributed plenty in my past posts of helping out with ideas on boating and all pertinent issues. Those posts are so old that they have now been archived! The reason for my lack of posts was because of haters like you that took all the comradery out of it! That is what fishing is all about, right? I thought that I could turn to my local fishing buddies and ask if they would like some FREE PRESS a(that could cost them upwards of $3000 an issue in the mag) while taking out a girl who can pull their own weight on a boat out with them. I am an asset to any fishing team. Not just with my pen. I can help them win some money and promote their business. So “NO” I am not looking for a “hand out!” Some of the big players in the Billfish Tournament standings can testify to that. Thanks for your input and your time, which by the way, you have spent a great deal of effort investing. Oh…on that note…we have probably already met, checked me out, smiled at me and offered for me to fish on your boat without you even knowing so…found that to be the case a couple of times. Ironic. Small world!

I don’t THINK I am an azz*** but after seeing Guy Harvey boxer shorts and flip flops it does get a little old. I respect the guy and what he has done but isn’t there a limit to what you’ll put your name on?

That’s funny…this thread is funny. Bottom line, this chic seems to have a good sense of humor and some thick skin to take some of these comments and maintain her composure. I’d take you fishing sweety if I had a boat that was fishing in the tourney…you seem like you’d be a fun fishing partner. And even if you were a “fat toothless woman from W. Virginia working in a porno call center” you’d still be nice to listen too. And truth be known…as a struggling artist, I applaud what Guy Harvey has accomplished and wish him continued success.

I hope she doesn’t base her perception of how people are down here in the southeast based on a few negative comments on a fishing forum. I dont really see what the issue is here. She’s a journalist looking for a ride to do an article and offering some exposure to who ever takes her along. Sounds like a fair gig to me. And what is wrong with Guy Harvey anyways? He and his organization do a lot for the sport of fishing. He also does a lot for educating and and conservation of endangered and over fished species of fish, including research projects that are costly. I’m sure Guy Harvey and the sales of Guy Harvey merchandise do more positive for the sport of fishing than any big beer company ever has.

HAHAHA…You guys crack me up! Thanks for the wonderful things that you said about Guy and his organization! He has done a phenomenal job towards marine life conservation and I am glad that someone here recognizes that. He has worked very hard in getting where he is today. He is a very warm, heartfelt, grounded individual and I have the upmost respect for him. As far as dying my hair red, I think I have enough attitude as it is without going that far, lol. As far as pics are concerned, I seem be technologically challenged with this thing to be able to upload and attach a pic to this forum! Hate to admit that one. Not that it should really matter what I look like, I am out to do my job. Don’t think that the company would pick someone to represent them that did not properly take care of themselves and making me get my tooth replaced.
