i heard they have been hookin hammerheads from the pier down in Tybee. any truth to this? i would sure like to add that to my list:smiley:
I have hooked a lot of Bonnet heads of the Savannah pier but never a Hammerhead. BUT its not impossible …I saw a big 7 foot hammer caught at the Paradise pier on Hunting island back in July of 1998

there are some big bastards there and also at the broad river bridge.klint i think i have meet you paradise pier.i may be wrong.but don’t think so.i always fish at the end.i’m the one with the rod holders made out of the green pvc pipe.
sharky how ya doin? we didnt catch much off the pier a couple weeks ago when we went, we ended up with 2 tiny whiting and tiny black drum, i had cut bait out in every direction that night hoping for just one shark, nothin. you didnt warn me about the current though, i was expecting that at all, and the crabs, those things robbed us blind, and we only landed one, let me know the sharks start hittin good will ya? im taking the family down this weekend to Hunting island, we are gonna try and get a tent site, i may hit the pier friday night.

been under the weather lately out of work for a while.man i told you that you needed 6-8oz lead.the crabs are bad there.i’m not going to do anything this weekend.unless i feel better.let me know how you do.
