As you can probably tell from my username, I don’t fish Edisto a whole lot. We vacation down there every year, and have since I was born. However, we’ve never been able to catch anything. We’re heading down on Friday and will be there for a week. Can you natives tell me what to target this time of year. I’m not asking for spots and I’m not internet fishing. Just want to know what species you’d recommend fishing for.
Hi Folly. I’m not a local, a little new to the area myself, but this time of year you can go to almost any hole and pitch some fresh crab quarters down and hook up some nice bonnetheads. They are always fun for a good pull.
