Help on location of submerged breakwater

I will be taking the grandkids fishing soon and would love to get them to hook up with decent fish. I have heard about the submerged breakwater just north of the Savannah shipping channel. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me GPS coordinates for this breakwater. I think it is also called the Savannah rock pile. (A private message would be great.)

I don’t have the numbers but it’s on every chart. It’s due north of red marker #14 in the shipping channel, maybe 1/4 mile.

That can be a rough place out there and those ships throw a big wake. Be careful with the kids.

XX 2 on what Cracker Larry said ; shows up on area charts, NOAA
chart shows it well 8-10ft water around break water ??over it!
Haven’t fished this channel but larrys dead on;; shipping channels
can be mean:frowning_face::frowning_face:

I would take the kids somewhere else, if you aren’t familiar with that area. Lot’s of ways to get in trouble there.

Not likely to catch much there except whiting, sharks and short sea bass anyway. Lots of safer places to do that.

What’s the best way to navigate around it to get to the Savannah reef (coming from HHI)?

How about the PI Reef? I’ve caught some nice trout and plenty of sharks/undersize seabass and whiting without the long ride. Just a suggestion and within sight of land where the grands should feel plenty safe?
