Very interesting article. It seemed to ask many questions, but it gave few answers. The synopsis is that recruiting shouldn’t be the reason for such a sharp decline in performance, but the finger wasn’t really pointed in ANY direction as a real reason. A lot of, could be this, could be that.

I don’t think you really point a finger at any one thing. like the article says, some 3 stars turn out great. some don’t. Sometimes kids conflict with the coaches. best current example is that kelley kid. he did not get along with the Clemson staff. Great talent, but he did not fit there. but looks like he fits in Miss.

So… what is your opinion as to the why? I’ve asked this before. The article asked the same question, “How do you fall so far in such a short period?” Per your post, your answer is the same- Don’t know. Could be this, could be that.

Salty, you know as well as anyone, you can not take anything he says as serious.
RAD, As far as falling so fast…I don’t know. it happens all over though. Look at this weekends game. 2 years ago the only lose UCF was to USC. and USC won 11 games. Not UCF has zero wins and USC has 1.
AU won the NC in 2010. lost 5 games 2011. Lost 9 in 2012. Lost 2 in 2013.
Point is, it happens
