Another reason to choose experienced captains. This was 2 hours before low. My guess was 4pm before they were free.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Whoopsie…
Who is that?
I bet they got some extra fishing time… Also, did they catch fish?
That ain’t a bad spot
that can’t be a charter, can it? I’ve been through there maybe 5 times and know you don’t want to go through there on the low end of the tide.

Boat looks very stable in 1/2" of water.
Gotta admire his work ethic.

Sea Tow or Tow Boat US could have snatched him off of there easily.
Surely he wasn’t scrubbing the boat right? Atleast he was keeping the boat looking fresh
did he make the people swim to shore ? They were in the first pic but not the last ?
Peapod, what say you?

That boat passed us yesterday in almost the same spot. He had another boat load of people.

Where is that? Behind the Boathouse?
Fritz, Hoppy, Rad, and Captain Mike-serious question: how would y’all handle a situation like this in regard to your customers? Would this result in a free trip, or would that be too much of a concession? Just curious as to what proper etiquette would be…
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
If I paid nearly $100 per hour I dang well better be given another trip or some extra fishing time.
Black Bart, I don’t guide or run charters anymore, but when I did I made dang sure I only ran in waters that I was very familiar with paying passengers aboard. I’ve run aground many times scouting new areas, but generally when no one was looking, except friends and wife
I have had a few break downs here and there and always gave the clients another trip, or stay out longer, or a refund, whatever made them happy. I would have had them fishing for something off that sandbar while they waited too.

Not sure what the right thing to do would be,each situation would be different and thankfully, that has never happened to me.I would be embarrassed to no end if I was driving and hit a sandbar and got stuck like it appears in the pic.
Was it in the beginning or end would make a difference too…I do not know all the facts here either, was he driving, break down, beach it on purpose, or other ?
I’ve been stuck a few times at the end of the outgoing during charters a few times chasing and catching reds and gambled too long. All times I have been free and gone within 30 minutes to an hour. I just tacked the time on to the end of the trip. It happens! As stated earlier, for the length of time this guy was stuck, Sea Tow or Tow Boat US could have gotten him off easily.
