Just spent a few days at beach house on Hilton head. Was wanting to put some family members on some fish who have very little experience fishing especially my brothers son 15 who had none. Went out first evening and it was a ray fest several large rays were caught and used a small one for cut bait as we landed no whiting. We had two large shark runs and the newcomers didnt land them, but they enjoyed themselves. Night two same thing couple rays no whiting, no baby sharks we had several big shark runs and no one sealed the deal by this time I was itching to land one myself but continued to pass the poles to bother and his kids as they dont live near water and have no opportunities and i have many. So on final outing I decided to day trip it with light tackle and squid didnt target sharks because of recent attacks and was trying to get brothers son some action on whiting or what was avaiable. I spent the day with little andrew and the light tackle produced some fun for him. we caught 40 baby sharks-that is not a misprint, one blue, one whiting, two bonnet heads and one small black tip that jumped a few times. He had a blast and learned how to cast, bait his hook and a few tips. I cant tell you how hard it was to pass off the poles each time the big runs came along all together they must of missed 7 . By the way very few people swimming because of attacks except for the bozo who waded out in the dead center of my lines and bait because he saw us catching a few.
