got mine yesterday.

Fair enough. I can’t wait to tell them about the Atlantic “Scampnose” that we have been catching. Time to raise the limits on those things quickly.
I have no idea how much pressure it will put on trolling. I don’t think it’s fair to assume a 1 to 1 increase in pressure, though. Some people just don’t like trolling, some people don’t have the boat to get out as far, and some people don’t want to pay for the gas.
Joined the club today. Guess the whole world got one!!
Got the letter, but no phone call yet. Haven’t had much time to fish this year though. It would be nice to see the data once it is all together.
Good Luck
I’m in! Waiting for me on the desk today.
Looks like I joined the club today . Got to tell them about all the yellowfin tuna where catching not.
I too must be special as I also got one. I intend to answer truthfully however I don’t know why they think they will get any useful data from a bunch of fishermen. We are second only to gamblers in our ability to exaggerate our wins and minimize our losses - what losses! Did read an interesting article in one of the mags I get about how the high price of fuel recently has decreased the fishing pressure on almost all stocks this year and if we can afford to go out next year we should be limiting out on YFT even before we crack the first cold one:smiley:. Fuel for thought.

I got mine, then they call once a week to ask you how many times you go out and what you catch
I got a letter and phonecall, Looks like enough postage in this local market to make a boat payment, I guess answer it like it happened, Truth is we all need to pay more attention to commercial interests, and probably work together- although I for one have more on my plate to do than politically get involved. always tell the truth, see what they say and if they regulate us further, I should have been more involved, just cant find the time right now-
i got on the YFT’s this year…in cabo:wink:
“'ats a nice un 'ere”
wow, maybe this forum should be called, “Who DIDN’T get the letter?” Obviously I received one as well and the truth is, I don’t have much to tell them.

He is trying to figure out is catching all the tuna so he can follow them out next time there is a tuna bite.
Pffffttttttt*
I was wondering when you were going to take the bait…I was going to say “where are you…what are you man or mouse, squeak up…” but now I am confused…you spoke up, but, you are a mouse…a dead mouse humpin’ mouse at that…oh well, it takes all kinds.
That’s a nice little blackie you got there by the way, might even push 20…
FYI boys - Blackies are not manageged by HMS, they are looking for yellows in our area…
(REGULATED SPECIES
Tunas subject to regulation are Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT)
(Thunnus thynnus), as well as “BAYS” tunas, i.e., bigeye tuna
(BET) (Thunnus obesus), albacore tuna (ALB) (Thunnus
alalunga), yellowfin tuna (YFT) (Thunnus albacares), and skipjack
tuna (SKJ) (Katsuwonus pelamis)

got the call last night…be prepared for lots of questions about your fishing adventures over the last year. For reference, it was a 614 area code.
Don’t worry Patriot, none of the questions were “over the last year, how many sailfish did you grab by the face and shake like a baby”
and they do ask about blackfin catches.
Maybe they don’t know what fish they regulate, they asked about skipjacks also.
