Default Re: Dabo Sprinkling “Grass” on Field
Video for reference: http://proxy.espn.com/video/clip?id=21937789
I did not catch it before, but did you see how he pretended to ignore the camera - while being super aware of it at the same time - then did the spin move as a signal to the cameraman, then waited for the zoom in shot before he started releasing the grass?
That may have been even more carefully staged than the Rant. Dabo does not reveal the reason for dropping the grass pre-game, then after Clemson wins, he comes up with some deep spiritual meaning that he shared with the team and it led them to victory. Maybe it was from Death Valley so he was making it into their home field. Or maybe it was growing in front of the Alabama tombstone outside Clemson’s stadium. Maybe it was from the field where he grew up milking cows back in Alabama. Who knows.
So Dabo set the stage to turn the focus to himself once more, and take credit for his players’ accomplishments after the victory with his BS stunt.
Only - Clemson got their ass whipped. So he can’t take credit for anything other than one more classless staged stunt - Dabo being Dabo.
I can’t believe the Taters are so dumb that they buy all that crap. They deserve each other. And the NCAA needs to fine Dabs for littering.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
By littering they mean leaving a big steaming pile of dung on the field, right? I’m pretty sure Dabo was having Tajh Boyd flashbacks that night on the sideline.
Boy you can tell the Gamecocks won. Question, how many teams on next years scedule have a winning record this year? Just trying to tally up loses for you guys next year.

And for some Clemson fans, you can’t tell if Clemson won or lost because they STILL focus more on USC. Granted, having lost, about the only thing they can focus on right now is their less-talented in-state rival…that won their bowl game.

Raise your hand if your ballclub has scored a touchdown in 2018

Raise your hand if you can name one player on Carolina that could start for Clemson
Hayden Hurst could EASILLY be the starting TE for Clemson.
Bryan Edwards could be a starting WR for Clemson.
Debo Samuel could start for Clemson.
Skai Moore Could start for Clemson.

And that’s without even having to think about it.
I’ll give you Hurst but not so sure about the rest. I highly doubt Moore would start as we have elite LB’s. If you have a good kicker/punter he would have a shot. Besides that I doubt it. We’re good not great at CB or Safety but I don’t think yall have anything special there either.

Not a chance Skai or Bryan Edwards would start for clemson.
Yes on Debo and Hurst though. They would be the only 2…oh maybe the FG kicker.

First, Most, Biggest
First off, there’s no “y’all” in anything I said. I’m not a USC fan. Second, and more to the point, Harryd said to name one player on USC that could start for Clemson. Regardless of my opinions, since I don’t have a dog in the fight, two Clemson fans conceded Hurst and Debo could start. Kind of shines a light on subjective versus objective.
I’d call Clemson’s D-line “elite” but not their LB corps as a whole. The D-line does a lot things that make that LB corps look a lot better. That said, O’Daniel is legit.
USC’s kicker (White) has plenty of leg but no one knows where the ball’s going when it leaves his foot
