dang, that’s too bad. Same around Edisto? Combahee Banks? What happened?

Plenty of shrimp if you know where to go. The creeks are loaded with mixed small-medium sizes, deep holing is producing good with larger sizes. I prefer smaller shrimp for flavor. Don’t know anything about baiting, but I can fill a cooler with decent shrimp in a couple hours without using bait within sight of Parris Island.

I went last week 10/28 on the combahee banks, there were no shrimp until dark then game on, the shrimp were thick and very nice size. There were no other boats in the sound. I checked on the side of the rock creek nearer the grass and there were plenty of shrimp during daylight but the size were mediums with small but out on the banks the shrimp did not move in until full night and they were thick and big. I think there are plenty of shrimp this year but they are slower to move out of the creeks. The last of the season should be good this year.

So what area of P.I. are you looking at while getting your scrimps?

during daylight inshore of morgan island the shrimp were mixed and mostly small. Darkness brought on a mix with much larger shrimp.

Note how the bait shrimpers get blamed by the draggers!!

That really doesn’t make much sense, because the problem is even worse in Georgia than SC and shrimp baiting is not even legal in Georgia.

Look getting a limit is easy if you don’t mind small shrimp.
I chose to leave them there!!!

Didn’t know you were even there with us

We did ok by the Dataw marina, if you don’t want to go too far. Mixed shrimp but we caught alot of larges and only a few bait shrimp. We caught 3/4 cooler each night.

I set up the last night beside Monkey Island. Caught 1/2 cooler in three passes by myself. I bagged 10 bags of mixed shrimp and 5 bags of fish bait.
