You do the same…
I’m pretty sure that 3 ghosts from the past, present, and future are going to visit SCARCHER220 just before Christmas this year…

what I am saying is: doggers on a “dog club” tend to be more reasonable than the renegades who have no lease… Why is that so hard for you to understand???
" It is what it is".
“Dog hunters are dog hunters… plain and simple. Doesn’t matter if you are in a CLUB and stay there or dump on someone else’s property. You are still a dog hunter”
In any language, that paints the picture that you are stereotyping… Is it just that you don’t understand yourself maybe?
Let’s be honest. You are a bow hunter. You could give a rat’s ass about dog hunting. If you got news today that all dog hunting was abolished, you would probably be pitching a tent in your pants. Then, you realize, "Hey, I better try to make it seem like I care about other forms of hunting, or people will realiz

I just pick up processed meat at Great outdoors in Bowman. Glad I don’t have to worry about all of this other stuff. Got 3 so far this year.

My my my. How did this thread go overlooked by me for 8 pages. I’ve got some reading to catch up on. Just as soon as I get this last dog caught up and in the box I will read all this nonsense starting from page one.
Beagle
Where have you been? Merry Christmas:smiley:
Hunting, fishing, and poker are my sports. Work when necessary.
I’ve been tied up with work. I’ve got the rest of the season off though and it is on.
Merry Christmas everyone!!
Turn them out and let them run Beaglewoman. OK with me. If they happen to run across my land I’ll enjoy hearing the chase Might even shoot the deer. Probably not. Sure won’t shoot your dogs though.
Merry Christmas to all

good to see ya beagle. merry christmas.
A neighbor just called and said they were having a big dog hunt tomorrow, 5 surrounding clubs are all turning out together at 0800 for a big Christmas hunt. Might be 40 or 50 dogs turned out between them all. They will cover the whole north end of the county. I’ve got 100 acres in the middle of their 50,000, but they called to ask me if it was OK if their dogs ran through my place. They know it’s OK, most have a standing OK, but they still called and asked, or to let me know anyway, because those dogs are coming no matter if I like it or not. I told them to turn’em out in my driveway if they wanted to, doesn’t matter to me. Should make for an entertaining morning. I can sit on the porch with my coffee and shotgun and wait for them to run across the front yard. That’s my kind of hunting

Georgia Cracker Larry, you are trying to compare apples to oranges.

no he isn’t- he is being a good neighbor and those other hunters are being respectful of him.
Maybe most of scarchers problems are of his own doing- a bad attitude can really cause you to get your nose rubbed in it- regardless of weather you are right or wrong.
most people think I’m a nice and easy going guy- and I am, but don’t poke the bear, cause he bites real bad when poked.
No Dockman, the average hunter who is complaining of doggers on here does not live amongst the 50,000 acres.Doubtful that Ga Cracker spends tens of thousands of dollars fertilizing, planting and maintaining food plots. He also chose to live there, most likely knowing what was around him,he’s just going with the flow.

So if he didn’t allow them to run dogs on HIS property, is he then being a bad neighbor?
If I ask someone to not run dogs on my property, do I have to ask nicely and if I don’t ask nicely, would that make the problem “of my own doing?” In my case, I feel we have been more than patient with and respectful to the doggers we’ve had issues with on our property. We stop our hunts to catch up what dogs we can and we call the owner(s) to let them know we caught their dogs for them. When they show up to pick them up, showing zero gratitude for what we have done for them, should I have to be happy about having to ask them to keep their dogs off of our property? Would that make me a bad neighbor? For me, the issue is not with dog hunting. It’s with respecting, or the lack thereof, property lines. If me getting pissed about someone, dogger or otherwise, not respecting my property line makes me a bad neighbor, so be it.

That’s a fact. Killed one 2 weeks ago that was eating our collard greens in the back yard. Don’t need a food plot. Anybody that would spend 10s of thousands of dollars just to kill a dang deer I’ve got to wonder about though [:0] Of course some of us do it just to catch a fish:smiley: How much would you pay to shoot one sitting on my front porch in a rocking chair and drinking coffee? I have very good rates too.
I’ve lived in this swamp for 20 years and never had a confrontation with a neighbor over property lines or deer, or dogs. I respect them, they respect me. We help each other at every opportunity. It’s different when you live in the woods than when you live in a city and lease a little piece of woods to hunt on. You probably never even get a chance to know the local property owners and to know that their family has been running dogs on that property for 100 years. They’ll still be doing it after your lease runs out too
They were respectful enough to call every land owner they could reach about the Friday hunt plan, let them know what was happening, invite them to participate, ask if anyone had a problem with it, and apologized in advance for any inconvenience. There were some great runs, had 4 deer and 30 dogs come right through the yard during the day. I had my shotgun out, but was working on a boat and let them run on through. It bothers my dog a lot worse than it bothers me:smiley:

I would strongly advise it in my neighborhood. It still won’t stop them, but at least they won’t be mad at you too
