Why didn’t Clemson or South Carolina offer a scholarship to Jacob Park? Do they have all stars waiting in the wings? I saw where Steve Jr. was recruiting him but he never offer a scholarship.
I was wondering the same thing. I went to Stratford and have seen him play a few times. Will be at the Stratford vs Goose Creek game. Not sure why they were not offering. Maybe he gave horrible interviews?
Clemson already had there QB. Schools don’t usually offer to more than one QB a year. If you did you wouldn’t get many kids thinking you were serious about them being your future starter. Also it seems like both in state schools prefer a dual threat passer lately. Clemson got the 5 star dual threat QB Watson so no need to offer Parker.
From his interviews he sounds a little hurt by the lack of in state love. Said UGA was better than both schools any day of the week.
Dabo, knowing 5 star Watson will be the key to our team the next 4 years, promised him he would not take another QB this cycle. So we are going to take 2 in 2015.
I cannot be jealous of a school whose colors are purple and orange. But was looking for an honest answer. What is the back up plan? What happened to the former NFL QB’s son? Was it Jim Kelly’s kid? Maybe Phil Simms? I cannot remember.

As much as I hate to say it about an SC guy, he just isn’t good enough to be a starting QB for a top 50 program based on what he has shown thus far (granted he is a great HS QB). Both schools carry a QB per class, and he just didn’t make the cut. It’s like the Justin Worley situation a few years ago – great in-state player, but both home schools are looking at other options that fit better.
I sincerely hope he proves me and the recruiters wrong and goes on to have a great career.
