Had a sheepshead pull one right outta my hands tonight… I got his little brother though… 9.6 pounds
Don’t give up hoping. Had a redfish yank a brand new Shimano CI4 Stradic and a BooCoo rod out of my hands in the Broad River one time. Two weeks later, my daughter’s boyfriend snagged it by accident while fishing. Fished the IFA redfish Tournament in Savannah Ga. The next day using the rod and won the event!! Should have bought a lottery ticket

Well i might make a run back at low tide and see if it didn’t get caught on some rocks. I bought the reel w/ the winnings of a tournament i fished in October, so not a huge loss. That’s pretty awesome you got yours back though!! A lottery ticket might not have been a bad idea, better yet should have had your daughters boy friend buy it. haha…

Dang, loosing both an Abu and an Ugly Stick, that stinks lol. I love my worn out 5500C3 and Ugly combo. 12 years old, horridly neglected, still works fine.
