If Clemson & USC played this weekend...

what do you think the spread would be and the outcome?

Think USC would be favored by 1.5 and Clemson loses by a TD.

(**() that sucked typing that.

Where is the game?

Na Ricky not trolling at all. Was thinking about that after the MD and Missouri games.

Our offense has obviously taken a step back from last year and Tajh is not playing nearly as well.

Defense is improved but still giving up too many big plays.

Depends on if Mike Davis were playing…

South Carolina -7.5 and final score Clemson 17, South Carolina- 30 and i am a big Clemson fan. I just do not see us stopping Mike Davis and Connor Shaw. They will rip the Clemson D to shreds and Tajh will be worried about Mr. Clowney all night and have happy feet.

Shevlin, this is bad, even for you

IF they played today. USC would be favored by 10. 3 points for playing in WB 7 for the matchup.
I think phinfreak has the right idea.

Dito If they played today it would be ugly for Clemson.:imp:

Why is it trolling? Afraid to stand up for what your team from what you have seen. Why is it such a hard question to say what you think. We all know things can change drastically. I feel the same way I have all season. If your defense comes out and smacks Tahj in the mouth early, the game is over for us. Our defense may be able to hold y’all a little while, our offense will not recover from being physically manhandled and Tahj will play with happy feet. I think Clemson can win the game, but it will take a super effort from our O Line to pave the way. I just don’t think it is going to happen. If y’all win out and we win out in the fashion we have been winning, we will once again be the higher ranked team that is an underdog in the game. I would say by 6 right now with the chance of it being more if we do not show any improvement and barring you losing Shaw or Davis. Even with Thompson I would say we would be +3.

It’s not a matter of if Boyd get smacked in the mouth, he seems to thrive on a bit of contact. He gets better as the game goes when he’s hit running the ball. His mental gremlins come into play if he throws a pick early or there’s a screw up otherwise and the ball is turned over. If he gets into a rhythm with the receivers early and moves the ball, then they tend to do well. If not it takes them a while to get the timing back. They’ve been in a funk for a while but will get their legs back at some point and you don’t want to be the opposing team when that all gels.

Big plays are going to happen, every team out there has athletes on them, sometimes the other guy wins the match-up too. I see a ball game that is going to be a very good game at this point but I still don’t think Carolina wins it this year.

Shaw sparked that team and made the throws Thompson couldn’t. Kid has grit and guts. Mizzou also left the middle open the entire 4th quarter, credit the coaches for seeing that and exploiting it. Mizzou’s kicking game lost the game in both regulation and OT and that is fact. USC had a helluva comeback, take nothing away from that but Mizzou had its chances to never allow it to get that far.

Clemson played like crap for 3.25 quarters and yet racked up 240 on the ground and another 300 in the air. 500+ yds of offense on a bad day in a place you’ve played poorly over the last 15 years isn’t bad by most teams standards.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I just have to disagree with B

I understand see the bright side of things but this it a bit much. So it is the stadiums fault? You racked up yards against a team that has 10+ starters out. not 1 or 2 skilled players. but all skilled positions.

I think you are close on Boyd. I think if he gets hit, he gets rattled. If he does the hitting he doesnt.

About USC. Dylan moved the ball well. throw for over 200 yards. both of he and shaw did. They put up almost 500 yards in a place they had never played on their homecoming.

Don’t forget that USC missed a field goal earlier in the game

I hate to admit it, But I think USuC would squeek by with the win. I don’t think either team is playing all that well right now. I don’t think it USuC will run away with it, but then again, I didn’t think the FSU game was going to be a blow-out either… I guess we will see in November!!

I didn’t see a play of the SC game until the late 3rd and 4th quarter, but they were down 17-0. Evidently Thompson wasn’t doing all that much. I saw Shaw come in, take charge of his team and make play after play over the middle. I’ve had chicken licker friends tell me Mike Davis ran harder, Ellington and the receivers play harder and the line did better with Shaw on the field. They certainly made the most of their opportunities and looked good doing it.

Had Thompson stayed in, they wouldn’t have scored. Shaw had it that day, no doubt. You could also tell that Mizzou had not game planned for him at all nor had any idea of the legs he had.

What part of saying Clemson played like Schhitt for 3.25 quarters did you not understand. They still racked up 500+, imagine had they been playing well, 800+? It’s a win.

I swear sometimes I think some of you don’t realize that when a starter is out, it doesn’t mean his replacement is fresh out of Pop Warner with no athletic ability or talent.

You’re right though, Clemson should have beaten them by

if Clemson can move the goal line to the 20 yard line then I say Carolina by only 17…

Don’t change the striping though, or else Davis will fumble on the 21.

I have to admit, the cocks could have folded after the Davis fumble then the long scoring play for Mizz, but they didn’t. Those type of turnovers seem to take the wind out of Clemson’s sails.
