First of all, I’m sorry to hear about Dabo’s dad. That totally sucks and he’ll forever be a changed man I’m sure.
Second, a good brawl like that isn’t unheard of this early on and is actually a good sign I think. A lot of times it’s tough to get young men emotionally charged up enough and care enough to get in a fight in this heat. As long as it’s short term and doesn’t carry to another practice, I think it’s a sign of passion and desire. Once the kids realize that they are teammates and not each other’s enemies, it’ll actually strengthen the team. Usually that takes a few weeks. That passion is tough to coach into young collegiate players.
