If you see a green jon boat with a 25 yamaha

Stay away from them on the water. Had a friend have the owner of that boat pull a gun on him this past week. Kids these days are crazy. Altercation happened in the ICW north of the harbor.

Ill be sure to stay away from every green jon boat with a 25 in Charleston…

14’ Skiff-“Redfish Reaper”

That’s just crazy. Maybe not so much anymore. All you need to do is watch the local news. Do have one question what happened for words to get to that point?

You’re not suppose to whip it out unless you plan to use it…If I got the numbers I’d call in on them. Something about brandishing a firearm, but I’d like to know the story behind it as well. There’s always two sides to a story.

My boat has a 15 Mercury.

Fritz, give use a better description. A green jon boat with a 25 yamaha is pretty much like saying “look out for the white carolina skiff that has carolina skiff stenciled on the hull”.

you say “kids”, so I assume it was some young dudes in the green jon boat. What was it over? Just curious as to why some kids felt it necessary to brandish a weapon.

Further reason I’m considering getting a GoPro and filming as much as I can of each trip. A dash cam on the car is more useful, for the same reason, but a GoPro while fishing is becoming a huge benefit.

… The Cross of Christ is the anvil upon which the hammer of evil wore itself out.

I fully expected Fritz to say the sob waked him in the icw and ruined his whole day.

Seriously though, what the heck would posses someone to pull a gun on someone else on the water? There are some really butt hurt people out and about nowadays.

I don’t want to elaborate on the story because I wasn’t there. From what I understand , one boat thought another boat got to close and after words were exchanged the jon boat pulled a gun out.

That just show you what we have become as a society. Back in the day (60’s - 70’s) it would be fists, today just pull out a gun. I hope all these tough guys pulling the guns and killing think a life behind bars was worth the split second of being a tough guy.

Just glad that situation didn?t go past that point and nobody was shot.

That’s understandable. Was “Jesse James” in the other boat white or black? Just tryin’ to narrow down the search so we have a little better idea of whom to be looking out for.

Bart, a better way to have asked that question to avoid any hint of racism would have been to ask if the guy was holding the gun straight up or sideways

That was dang funny. Made me laugh out loud. You’re an idiot. I know this, because I speak from experience…:wink:

Thanks Buddy! Nicest thing anyone has called me yet today, but it’s still early[:0]

a white dude wearing a Confederate flag ball cap, boat was camouflage jon boat.25 horse 4 stroke Yamaha.

DNR was notified of situation after the encounter.

No matter how pissed off one gets during a fishing trip,a pistol is not the answer. The aggressor in this situation showed a complete lack of class.I surely hope the client on my friends boat was not from out-of-town.

That pretty much eliminates holding the gun sideways! No need for guns and a fishing spot.

Pointing and presenting a firearm ( without legal justification ) is a felony in South Carolina with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.

That’s actually a funny description of the perp. If we had a photo of this guy in his boat, I bet there’d be some pretty funny captions written.

I don’t know, Easy. I guess these days you can never be sure:

I think this situation is a good example of why you should bring a pistol on your boat. If this guy started firing and you didn’t have a pistol you would have no way to defend yourself. I would’nt think about being on the water around here without a gun.
