Hows the inshore bite around bluffton and may river right now? I have some nephews coming in town and they are looking to fish. Would have liked to get offshore but the wind has been brutal and doesn’t want to change by this weekend! I figured the trout bite would be good around falling tides near the oysters.I can deep hole some shrimp and try artificials as well. Sound about right or am I way off base with the spring time pattern? Any use trying for a shark in the inshore holes? They would love that.
Thanks
I’d try the middle of the flood tide with trout tricks fished on Z man trout eye jigs. Third marsh island in the May River usually produces some fish. I can’t reveal my hot spots, but you should be able to get the kids a fish or two. The reds should be biting well also, good luck!

Thanks OC.Not looking for your spots but thanks for the good recon. I have a bunch of trout tricks and trout eye jigs so Ill definitely bring them. They work well here in Charleston so I assume they will work the same down there. Trout bite has been hot here with some big fattys being caught.
Brutal wind all weekend but managed to deep hole some nice shrimp and caught a few suicidal speckled trout despite the filthy water. Thanks again for the tips OC
Going on Wednesday any hints on shrimp location? You can pm me if needed
