What are the best tides to fish for reds & trout? I’ve always heard to fish the outgoing as the fish come out of the grass? Is that true? Any success fishing a rising tide as they go into the grass? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!
They feed at every stage of the tide in different places. The bite usually slows at dead low and dead high slack water, but if the water is moving, the fish are usually feeding somewhere. There is no best tides but there are best places for every tidal stage.

if you’re going out in a boat i would say get out there at dead low tide and get a feel for the structure. structure does two things. holds fish and messes up boats. and i would say water clarity is just as important right now with all the rain and dirty water coming in.
