When I called Shipwreck this morning, it occurred to me that I didn’t know Danny by his actual name-- just his handle. That’s the case with a great many who post to this board; so why not introduce yourselves? I’ll start…,
Fogman is James Lindler. I’m a long time middle school band director. Obviously, when I’m not in the band room, the music I like to hear is the scream of a bait clicker:smiley:
Joby Wetzel - I am in the Potato Chip business hence the Chipman handle. Good idea James. There are a lot of folks posting that I do not know, or may know but do not know their handle.
I’m Benny McCollum from Easley/Pickens, retired after 39 years from AT&T/BellSouth/Southern Bell. I have met and fished with some of the members and have plans to fish with some others. Funny thing is that I don’t know how I had time to work a full time job with OT.
I’d rather fish than eat.
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
Mike Tucker. I am from the Kinards SC area. I work in a local factory making felt for paper machines.I also co own and operate a local deer processing business.
Daniel Rush - just started striper fishing from Greenwood. I don’t have much time to fish because I work about every weekend. Love getting out on the water even if I don’t put a fish in the boat.
bobby driggers in lexington. have also know steely tom for about 8 years. work with lexington custom builders as sales person and also have a small brokerage firm for sod, chemicals and fertilizer.
Bill Strong, retired Duke Energy, live on the lake across Beards from Coast Guard. Been fish’n Lake Murray for 35+ years…Only person I’ve met is Striperskiff when we took the Army fish’n…
Elly(E.J.) Jones…and yes I fly(tie my own) & light tackle fish, but have been known to get desperate and use bait(at least that’s the rumor…no pics, no proof:smiley:).
“There is something about hunting those fish that will stick with me and my future fishing plans like a bad case of striper herpes”

My name is in my signature, always has been. I currently work as a welder, on the 2nd shift, for Harsco Rail, near the airport. I’ve been with them for about 4 yrs. And as my signature says, I also do custom aluminum welding/fabrication(my true love)on the side, in my spare time.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a few of you, and look forward to meeting more.

Rick Sineath … Live in Hall Mark Shores in Lexington … Work at Moore, Taylor, & Thomas, PA … Moved here from Florida and STILL haven’t gotten the hang of this dang lake … Only person we’ve met has been Tim who saved me from the Inshore “group” and who has taken us fishing many times … My Wife, Liz, and I love fishing and try to go every chance we get … but life has a way of … getting in the way of our fishin
Good guys. Keep em coming! … BTW, I got the handle “Fogman” back in 2000 when I had the winning catch in the December tournament but couldn’t make it back to weigh in due to dense fog. James Cassell bestowed that upon me and it stuck:)
I remember the “Fogman” tournament. Quite a day. Visibility at about nothing. We were all glad to get the call that you were only lost since we already knew tyou would not miss a weigh in without something happening.
Chip Bragg. I am a P/D driver for southeastern freightlines. I have always been a fisherman but it was for anything that would bite. Decided to dedicate my efforts to striper about 5 yrs ago and glad I made the switch. Most seen my boat building thread but if not I am the funny looking striper boat with the people WAY up in the front. Say hey if ya see me.
In Feb of this yr I was turned on to big bait fishing and that is now a passion of mine and no bait is too big:smiley:. Pulling big bait on boards or just pulling boards period is where its at for me.
I love doing new things when it comes to striper fishing. Did an little traveling this yr with the SBCC and cant wait for it this yr to get started up. Did some kayaking for stripes today actually and fell in love…lol.
Tom Homolek, I am an estimator for a general Contractor. Moved here from Pittsburgh in 2005. First fish I caught here was a 30# striper on the shore of the Saluda on a long A bomber. I’ve been hooked since. Went out on the lake the first time with Rick K and a friend from Pittsburgh. I fish almost exclusively at night and rarely miss a week. I think I’m the only one that fishes winter nights, but it’s warmer than busting ice out of the creeks steelhead fishing in Erie.
Tom, I am from near Pittsburg, East Liverpool, OH. Have been in Pittsburg several times lately. Had a sandwich at Premanti brothers. I know folks down here don’t care about how we did it up north but Pittsburg may be the best food city in the country, in my opinion.
Lee Gallman I live in Prosperity and the controlfreak handle has to do with my occupation. I build and work on automated PLC control systems. I would also like to thank everyone that gives the reports for Lake Murray, they have helped me alot and I hope my reports help some of you also.
