What part of Eastern NC? I have family in Washington NC and occasionally go back there to fish the pamlico sound with my uncles.
Hey - Dan Bach here. Born in OH-IO (that’s where Grandpa and Grandma jumped ship from Yugoslavia before WWI). Renee and I fell in love with Columbia & Murray “commuting” between the Buckeye State and the Beach
Moved here as fast as we could - 2004 - and joined Midlands Striper Club soon after. Met a BUNCH of great guys like Fogman, Brady, Gar-heart, Wildman, Rick, Big John, Troy Blackwell, Joby, Woody and lots more. Knowing these guys has helped shorten my learning curve tremendously!! Don’t tell anyone - but before I joined MSC - my first down rod was a Shakespeare Sturdy Stik
We are blessed to live in a “lake-access” community in the back end of Beard’s Creek and am able to keep my boat in the water at community marina. 19’ Hurricane with 115 Yamaha.
In order to buy bait and gas for the boat, I work in accounting at Medical Services of America. You may have seen our offices from I-20 near the Hwy 1 exit in Lexington. We sell home medical equipment like wheelchairs, beds, CPAP’s (Medi Home), provide home health nursing/therapy (Tri County Home Health) and hospice (Tri County Hospice) services in the Midlands plus 10+ other states.
But hey - who wants to talk about work. Let’s talk fishing! Call me anytime.

I’m Stephen from Lexington and I’m a software engineer. I’ve lived here for about 12 years, but I grew up in East Tennessee. I have only been striper fishing for about 2 years. I met Steelytom because our wives are friends, and I’ve been fishing with him since. I’ve met Chip and a few others on here and I enjoy any time I can get out on the lake. I’m still in search of catching my first 10# Murray striper.

Every time he gets a big one on he gets scared and throws the rod down. He says anything over 16" hurts his thumb. This is his prefered size:

Hello, My name is Mike Kuebrich. I’m an insurance agent at Turbeville Insurance. I have been fishing on Lake Murray for 8 years now but don’t catch fish unless they are jumping out of the water chasing bait. I give credit to you guys that can catch them with bait. Maybe someday I’ll figure that out too.
Spencer Jordan. Don’t have my own boat but Tim took me out and put me on four top water striper. ever since I have been hooked on artificial striper techniques. Big ups to striperskiff for letting me fish with him.
