Its my first time posting here a report and its very special because its my very first biggest catch fish from surf fishing I started surf fishing late last year but on and off. Went to the surf around 3pm while I am still finishing to put all my 3 surf rod the 2nd one got a hit. I only catch one today stay till 5pm but its worth it.

Congrats on the Black Drum! We must have just missed each other. We left the beach around 2:30-2:45.
X2 on the size. But guessing, looks about 16".
Awesome! Black Drum are good eating too if you prepare them carefully. Once the water warms up a bit more a lot more fish will move into the shallower water around the beaches, just got to wait a little while longer.
A bad day of fishing beats a good day of work anytime.
It is 19in more than the minimum I have a picture of it with the saltwater fish ruler I will keep it as my souvenir
