Well the weather was nice…again, A slight offshore breeze around 20 with 25-30 gusts. No problem! On the beach around 1:00, fished through the turn. Not very many bites untill right at low tide. With the wind blowing it was difficult to see the Black Drum “pulls”. Managed to hook up with 2 decent Drum, both about the same size, dropped the second one after removing the hook, (slimmy little boogers) didn’t get a pic. A few Whiting, Small Blues and 1 Ray. Off the beach 5:30ish?
So far a very slow spring for me. Next week I will plan to take a few after work trips.
That’s a pretty good day Mr. Parker, thank you for your report. I still need to get over the hump myself, it’s been slow for me. Four outings thus far this year. First, a three foot shark. Next trip, a goose egg- when I was with you.Next trip, a whiting.Next trip ,a pin fish. Hell all that combined isn’t a good day. It was only two separate weekends and one of them were pretty bad winds.I think someone has cast an evil spell on me:imp: I’ve done my best each time, and that’s all I can do. It’s still early. Good luck out there Sir. A couple of nice drum. I think maybe I need to try Demetre Park ,and I will have better luck:smiley: You don’t happen to know any good Shaman doctors who can break this spell ?
Yep slow for me too. The first trip of the year we popped a slot red and a handful of good black drum and whiting and I thought it was gonna be a great year. Since then catches have been very few and far between. Last time I was out a couple weekends ago, it seemed to be on the verge of coming alive though, so there’s hope
