Hit the Rocks near breach for bottom of falling hoping to grab a fat fall flatty. Instead everything I put out was mauled by blues. After an hour of this nonsense I packed it up and headed to a trough on IOP to catch the beginning of the rising. I proceeded to catch no less than 1000 whiting for 2hrs. One of which is my personal best around 16". Again no big reds on the big rod the troughs on IOP are really nice as are the ones on folly right now but it seems the big reds are being caught mostly closer to the inlets so that’s my $.02. Y’all go get em.
Good report. Glad to hear of bigger whiting out there.

It seems all the fresh water hasn’t affected the surf bite, Bull Reds on IOP early in the week, 1000!!! Whiting today! So Thursday afternoon most have been the only “bad” time, when I went? With my 2 Whiting, which got fed to the Blues, and 1 Puffer. It was dead high then falling . And agree surfwrangler, the troughs look nice!
We had to wade through hip deep water at the beach access. All the sand got washed out to sea. Lots of water still standing in most yards along Palms ave. The bite should be improving with the new moon coming up, with Sun.- Tues. looking good.
I’m going to try them Sunday afternoon on the incoming tide.
