So it’s been a while since a positive fishing post, here it goes. Another beauty of a morning, lines in adout 8:00, incoming, decent trough, about hip deep in spots. First fish on quick, whiting. I kept a few small ones for cutin’. Bite was pretty consistant in the morning. Got very slow as the tide came up. Caught a basket full of whiting, blues a few croakers, rays and a couple of baby Reds. Started gettin’ hot and the bite was slow. Of the beach about noon. All in all not a bad day.

thanks for the report. haven’t fished in a while, might give it a shot this evening.

Going to start back on the surf next week or two, have stayed away about 6 weeks because of heat.

My trick for the heat? Arrive early, leave early. No problem. Actual fished Fri. evening, Sat. am and Mon. am. Mon. was the most productive of the three. I have been taking the “bigger” reel and throwing chunk bait in the trough for Grandma Red.
