Had to wait for the rain to quit before haeding out. Ended up on the beach about 10:30am. Although the water was up, I already new where the hole was, so I put out the triple threat. Caugh a good number of Whiting, none of which were SMALL enough to cut up! More Bluefish couple small sharks and a baby Jack. Cut up Bluefish for the chunk rod. And I guess I just about got my new “light wire” leader set-up right. Landed a healthy 4’ Finetooth with no issues. Not a bad trip.
I really enjoy your posts dparker
Nice day fishing!
Great post dparker…you provide awesome info. Much appreciated.
Hoping to hit the surf hard this week/weekend. It’s my first year living in SC and I’ve caught a ton of whiting, sharpnose, blues, a few trout, spot and some small jacks. Jacks mostly at Sullivan’s Island. Hoping to get into some nice Reds soon. Do the Reds typically come up into the trough closest to shore?
