Wednesday evening, 4 keeper spot, 1 whiting and 1 slot red.
I fish IOP and Sullivans, but did not make it out much in July and Aug. Did not have much luck on IOP earlier in the summer, but hoping to get out in Sept and Oct. If you don’t mind sharing I would be interested to know where on IOP, and what bait was working for you. Thanks.
We did pretty good a couple of weeks ago, on Reds, and Black Drum, just behind the breakers on the public beach side of the Sea Cabins pier. Fresh, “FRESH”, peeled shrimp for bait, on a Carolina Rig. Keep your bait close to the pier poles, and hold your rod tight! Try a quartered Blue Crab later in the fall for the big Reds.
…Politicians aren’t the “Oldest Profession”, but the results are still the same!!!
Thanks Mixed Nutz. Did not make it out this weekend. I have fished all over IOP and Sullivans, including fishing from the Sea Cabins pier, but never fished under it. Always worried there would be too many people on the beach and in the water around the pier. I usually get out before sunrise to beat the crowds, so I might have to give this a try.
