Coming to edisto in a few weeks got a house on fishing creek with floating dock is it a good idea to leave it in the water or do I need to remove it at night?
It’s ok to leave it. I’d suggest you make sure your bilge pump works well and keep it on auto if you have it. You will get a little marine growth on your hull after a week but you can wash it off pretty easily. It’s worth it to be able to just walk down to your boat and go.

Make sure your bilge pump float switch works correctly and tie off good. No worries about theft if that is a concern. Fishing creek is a pretty quiet area, not a lot of traffic.

I leave mine in the water when I stay there, I use bumpers and tie mine up with the bow facing the main water of the creek. Agree with the auto bilge pump tho, in case of rain
Raise your motor if your anywhere close to bottoming out on a super low tide and use bumpers.
And the pro tip of the day DO NOT LEAVE LIVE WELL running over and hour or so to save live bait. I almost sunk a boat once because a mullet went in the out flow drain and the livewell ran over into the boat all night- not good.
I have rented creek houses in that area for years and never had a theft issue. Ditto what everybody else said about bilge pump and bumpers. Tie offer securely, take the key out and enjoy Edisto!

Dont tie off too tight on a high tide!
