..it's "Official"? Fall "B.A.R.F." 2007

Mornin’;
The word through the “GrapeVine” has it, that the current date for the Fall “Beaufort Area RedFish Floatilla” is set for 9 & 10 Nov 2007. The “Meet and Greet” will be the evening of Nov 9th (time and location TBD). Fishin’ will be Sat. Nov 10 at the “Lagoon” on Hunting Island State Park. Undoubtedly some folk will stay on to fish Sun also. This is normally a pretty good RedFish and Trout outtin’ (hopefully less wind this time). Hope to see everyone there. Start makin’ plans now. :smiley:

On the calendar… Hope they don’t want to send me anywhere :wink:

“Carpe Diem” does not mean “Fish of the Day”…

I’m there! If I have to beat the stupid out of some body.:face_with_head_bandage:Hey, “Paddlin” I suffer from a little ADD keep me skrate on the date.

You know I am in… Hopefully there will still be some smoked salmon and halibut from my trip to add to the menu… :wink:

Let’s make this thing even bigger this year guys… :slightly_smiling_face:

   .....does that mean another Friday night, sittin' around a camp fire, drinkin' cold beers and eatin' "Nasty Ol' FrogMore Stew" with Hot Crusty Bread .....again? :smiley:

Hey P4R’s

Any advice on which cabin might be best to rent? I did do a quick drive through the park once…the cabins at the entrance to the lagoon seemed best. Maybe this is another reason for another “Recon Mission” to “BARF Turf”.

…no, sorry no clue. Someone stayed last year at the cabins, can’t remember who it was. Maybe “CutMullet”. I see he already has reservations, but I’m not sure if it’s for a cabin or camp spot.

You can go to www.reserveamerica.com and look up reservations for the campground and the cabins.
Does everyone fish in the lagoon?

Mornin’;
Yea, sure nuff do. It’s bigger then you think. If you go back to Page 14 of the Kayak Fishing Forum. You’ll see at least two posts about last years B.A.R.F. fun. …or for “lots More Info” go to http://kfs.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8441060741/m/6671000152 …I think there’s 11 pgs of “info” and “gibberish” :smiley:

I have cabin 14 reserved for the end of Sept., looked like the best one to me… There are some photos on the reservation site to look at them.
Also prices are a bit different for each cabin.

Sweeeeeeet! :slightly_smiling_face:

:face_with_head_bandage: Errr, Umm… Just HOW MUCH Frogmore can we make? Might want to get the CRAP’ers to help pitch in with ooking supplies… I am sure at least a couple of them have turkey fryers lying around… :smiley:

Not sure I even have enough Hali or smoked Salmon for such a large group… [:0]

…I don’t know. After last years “Cookin’ Fiasco”, and the end result :sunglasses: …might just do it again over an open campfire. Darn that was fun:smiley:, (…plus it was the best tasting FrogMore I had tasted in a “lonnggg” time. …and the CRAP crew did help out last year. Fine job too, I might add. …but I can get my hands on a bigger pot if need be. Can your “Shrimper” come thru?

Well, we ALWAYS have OUTSIDE the Lagoon and the Harbor River Areas to access…oh, and offshore too… After my Alaska adventure, offshore doesn’t seem so intimidating now…

As for my Shrimper connect… Let me get with them… Of course with several in the immediate rea…shouldn’t be a problem… Guess we should skip the Crab with such a large group though.

What is the average depth in the lagoon?
Is it man made?
