Mornin’;
…I’d hold off on a Camp site for a few days (unless you have a camper). If the Georgia Kayak Fishing Club reserves the Group Primative site, it puts your camp site right at the Lagoon. Just a thought. The site allows up to 100 people, for a very nominal fee. I’d just wait to see if they are serious in coming.

Is it man made?

Average Depth…MAybe 2 feet… Though places closer to ten.

es, it was man made. Originally it was a sand quarry until the 60’s…

This sounds great. Keep us informed.

Wag more. Bark less.

Beer-I have site 127, same as last year.

Hey Troy

All the cabins are already taken, so much for that idea. Call me.

Thanks

Stinky,

Will do tomorrow… Dang, already gone? Sounds like the JAX and ATL groups might have had a rush on them… Not a problem, there are alternative accomodations in the area. (Less than 20 miles from the site)

5151 and I will be at site #126, see ya then, hopefully with less wind!

Mornin’;
just curious…what’s our attendance count?

a.k.a. "X-Fishin’ "

Not sure… Just here at CF.com looks like a couple more than last year…

Then we have Ga and Jax groups… And KFS…

I suspect more than 20, possibly 30. We will see when the date gets closer…

Is the SIL coming up from Tampa?

Whats for dinner this year?Let me know what I can bring to contribute to the feast…

Hey,…don’t you need to bring a bottle of rum for the winner of the fly fishing category?

Mornin’;
…might want to hold off on the “Rum” idea until I talk with “YotF”. Might have a different idea… :smiley: The meal will be like last year. We’ll let everyone know about the donations. We also have the guys from Georgia Kayak Fishing.com comin’. They’ve reserved the group primative spot at Hunting Island. A few guys from Jacksonville Kayak Fishing.com have also voiced a desire to attend…we’ll see. The Hilton Head Island Sport Fishing Club.com also have some interested folks. It should be a good time.

Hey paddlin…Yaks the one that supplied the rum last year,…the winner of the previous year supplies the rum…from what 5151 said last week was its still tasting pretty good.

Mornin’;
…I was wondering, if guys would be interested in tossin’ $10 in the hat for a Grand Prize. Just not sure how to judge the catch or the slam or how to work it… The Prize is SUPER nice, if I can arrange it(I’m sure everyone would want it):sunglasses:…I guess if you guys still want to run a side bet on fly fishin’, that’s fine…but, I think everyone would rather have the grand prize (…although you could also win it on the “fly”).
:smiley:

I think the Flyfishing prize should remain as it is, and the $10.00 Grand Prize being for all anglers…

BTW: I would prefer we upgrade from last years Gosling Rum prize, to their Private Reserve Bottle ($70.00! :imp:) Makes the normal Gosling taste like Bacardi!

I took a bottle to Alaska with me in July, and WOW, is that Reserve AWESOME…

I will supply the bottle of rum this year for the fly division I almost have last years bottle finished, the over all thing sounds good as well

Looks like we will have competition for the prize this year.

The Atlanta group has a couple of flyrodders interested. Not sure if any of the Jax yakkers are wigglestickers too!

Also, going to expand/clarify the rules… Largest aggregate Redfish/Seatrout and Flounder caught from a flyrod.

Either measured on camera with a tape measure, or dead at the end of the day (For those who like to eat em…). Only one fish of each species to be measured, longest total length wins.

Looks like a LARGE group this year, I anticipate close to 50 yaks!!! [:0] The Hotlanta group has reserved the primitive Campsite near the Lagoon, so we might be able to crash their site! :smiley:

Hopefully the winds will be more agreeable this year. :slightly_smiling_face:

I guess I will have to tie up some aggregate flies :stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like my chaces for the Flyfishing prize just got destroyed…

Broke the top 2"of my 8 wt this weekend in Florida! :angry: Since it was a custom rod, not likely I am going to get a replacement in time!

Not sure I want to target Reds with a 5 wt!..But I sure will try! :smiley:
