Never fished for Jacks around Edisto. Any suggestions on where and when to find them in the area?

Try the nearshore reefs around Edisto. About two weeks ago I hooked on to a decent jack trolling a Rapala over the barge on North Edisto Nearshore reef. Thought I snagged the barge at first. It put up a nice fight. Troll some Clark Spoons while you’re out there because we were slaying the Spanish within a mile of the same reef.

Sorry, can’t help you on inshore with the jacks.

was trout fishing in Edisto where Bailey’s creek comes in saw fish blowing up on bait and after several attempts was able to get a Jack to hit a top water lot of fun since it was on a trout set up.

I caught a few this size last Monday. First time I ever caught one.
