Jacksonville pier help

Hey guys,

Any ideas on fishing from the Jacksonville pier this time of year? Dad’s 78 and likes to catch fish for stepmom. Whiting and whatever else is there? Advice on rigging and best bait to use would be greatly appreciated.

Shrimp, fleas, and orange fish bites will work. Double droppers with 1/0 circle hooks. Pretty slow right now but the whiting should be there. Black drum, pompano, flounder, Spanish macs, redfish, spadefish, sheepshead and trout are all possible. Probably a lot of small sharks as well.

Thanks for the reply. He’s probably been using the wrong type of hooks and too big too.
