To bad this team showed total lack of sportsmanship and class in they’re elimination by the River Bluff Gators.
After seeing there Head Coach charged the field after a 6/0 shut out, and the intentional dirty play at the end of the game by James Is players, glad to hear the High School League is reviewing this.

My son is a Team Captain.
Biased? I’m sure any parent would be to some degree, like to think I am fair and show respect to our opponents and fans, everyone wants to win.
I was there, it was ugly and a Coach Savitz our Coach would never condone that kind of dirty play trying to hurt players.
We lost to Wando last night for the lowere state championship game, competitive clean physical game and both teams conducted themselves like fine youg men.

Why did the head coach charge the field? Why were they trying to hurt your players? Has JI been doing this all year? Seems odd that they’d start being unsportsmanlike/dirty in a playoff game.

Don’t think I can speculate on what 16/17 year old boys were thinking.
I do know the Coach received a Yellow card for kicking a ball on the field that our player was trying to do a throw in in front of J IS bench.
Also a J IS player received a yellow card for a dirty tackle, protocol is the player must leave field and can return when coach determines.
Most coachs bench the player for some time and discuss the penalty, not this coach, player went to sideline and came back next play.
Apparently coach saw no need to intervene, very unusual and seem to fit the other bazar behavior that he and his team displayed.
I blame the coach for allowing and condoning what went on during the game,
Yellow cards happen, soccer is a contact sport, it’s how the coach handled things especially the last few minutes is why I am hopefull the SC HS League takes action.
