It actually states I’m apparently clueless about red fishing and need help.

The clueless on red fishing was immediately taken as clueless at fishing in general.
It then turned into a Jet Ski issue, so I seperated the topics attempting to get back to the fishing issue.

THAT didn’t work, lol.

If you look at the original post up top, you’ll see it SPECIFICALLY states that we can debate the Jet Ski fishing without making it a personal attack.

IMMEDIATELY, the Jet ski fishing debate has turned into a forum for Yankee bashing.

There’s apparently a lot of people here that need to vent.

Maybe we should start a Why I hate Yankees topic?

I say the war ended generations ago…

(1) For once it wasn’t me who started the ****storm …

(2) Don’t worry about it … for the most part people here (on the forum and in SC) are great … but there are a few morons (on the forum) who seem to think that no one can fish in SC unless you were born in SC …

I appreciate the words of encouragement and the advise from all the PM’s.

It’s pretty sad that a lot of the PM’s started with “These guys would be pissed if I told you this in the open forum but just ______ and keep at it, pm me with any more questions”

You guys really go at each other so hard you discourage other so much they won’t help a fellow fisherman in the open forum?

PATHETIC?..Quite the contrary my Yankee friend, you are the one here who posted on just how to catch the “ever so elusive Redfish” in shallow water, and I responded on who to call and book a trip with to learn a few lessons. You totally disregarded my post, then posted “TWICE” on two different threads just how “YOU” hold some record in New York, then how “YOU” placed second in the HIBT. Now who’s being PATHETIC?
Sounds to me that being “Lucky” has played out, and some real time here and on the water might help. Just a thought though.

Millions of people fish, that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with all of them, nor am I going to help them all out. You got a good answer from vinman on how to avoid sharks. Shut up.

This guy is clueless. Adding him to my ignore file has greatly improved my forum experience. He is the most obtuse poster I’ve seen here in a long time. Really illogical. Pretty rude person. Like the guy who walks into a locals bar and starts trashing local traditions. Lacking any emotional IQ.

As with all people, I’ll help him if he is in trouble on the water. I’ll shake his hand if we meet at the landing. Hopefully he’s more fun in person. But on this forum, he’s got a lot to learn.

Question: are you offering yourself up as an example of a "jackass fisherman" ... the reason why people like NYallker and myself do not understand the mentality on this forum is because the same mentality does not exist on other places (even within Charlestonfishing.com - it's the Inshore group that is most devisive) ... oh and here it comes - "then why don't you just go back where you came from" ... yada yada yada ... shut up already - it's friggin' OLD!!!!!
