Go July 2nd, be at the boat landing at 6:00 am. Leave the Jetties by noon
Make your own anchor ahead of time. Search re-bar on this site.
Bring plenty, plenty of water, a few beers, chicken wings and a five gallon bucket for bodily functions.
You’re set!
Early…
Sound about right…
Claim… Is google earth/maps the best place to get detailed layout of the charleston coastal areas??
It’s what I do to see the lay of the land. To find the shallow places, I’d get a Spot Map. It’s a good reference tool to have. There are still plenty of places to bump the bottom unless you get out a lot.

“Make your OWN anchor ahead of time, check re-bar on this site,” AND, after gonefishing ridiculed my scrap anchors, he told early “sounds about right”.
This is why we get told “get nice” by Penny, and others.
Claim,
Thank you. I am a novice and I have been thanking of taking the wife out on one of our trips down. I still have much reading and learning to do prior to making the trip out, but your information will help greatly. Thank you agin for assisting with my education.
The word JERK was and still is deserved, just like get nice is deserved. And, just like apologies are due for the ridiculing of “make your own anchors” for the jetties area.
The “re-bar” posting has been recommended many times for the jetties and Grillage areas, along with reefs.
Larry’s setup seems to be the best by far, I WILL give credit, but the ridiculing, personal attacks need to stop. OK to make a better suggestion, but to lol at another guy’s suggestion, and say things like “who in their right mind would do that”, and your kind friend Larry said “there(right mind) you have the problem”.
And I need to “lighten up”, pay closer attention to the posts, then criticize the 'nasty boys", I was just trying to give a beginner’s option. like the others, I passed that long ago, but beginners need options too.
