July Meet and Fish **cancelled due to weather**

Hunter, if you can’t find a ride I’ll pick you up on the way.

If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.

I will not be able to make this one. Marian & I will be in Charlotte for the weekend.

Any suggestions for angling in that direction?

Lake Wylie is up that way…

I’m in

I might join you guys next weekend. I will post on here closer to the 13th if I will be able to make it or not.

Great…all are welcome. No fees or requirements - just the local crowd getting together to fish. Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

I just acquired a fishing kayak and am new to the sport. Would it be alright if I came to participate on Saturday??

Come on out!

Did someone tell BRiggs that the new guy brings the beer for everyone? Bonzo doesn’t yak so you can bring good beer.

DFreedom, How about homemade baked goods instead of beer?
BRiggs, I am new to it as well. I went kayak fishing for the first time yesterday on Stono.

Doug, are you going to make this one?

I hope the weather takes a turn for the better. The early forecast isn’t looking good for the whole weekend. Good thing the guys making the forecast are wrong 60% of the time.

Yes…we’ll have to keep an eye on the forecast with this storm moving in. If you are planning on making the M&F, check back with this thread as the week progresses. If the wind speed and rain % gets crazy, we might have to put it off…hopefully not

I think I can swing beer and baked goods:) They’re the staples of life, really!

You guys/girls really don’t need to bring anything. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be appreciated by all. But, the meet and fish is about a bunch of kayak fisherman just getting together and having a good time.

I really enjoy cooking and baking! I’d like to bring something in appreciation of you guys putting up with me. I may need help getting my kayak in the water and I might not be able to paddle as fast as some of you guys. I will do my best though!

“There’s no baking in fishing!” HaHahaha!!!

Hey LGB, just how crazy is crazy rain %?

Newby here. Been wanting to do this since I found the site. Please tell me What test line I should have. Also, since it is my 1st time what bait, artificial and / or live and rig should I bring?(I gotta go minimalist) Thanks for the advice.

Right now the forecast is calling for 60% chance of rain, mainly in the afternoon…lets wait to see what it looks like on Friday.

My son and I are going to try to make it J.P… The rain has killed us up here and I am behind on a few things (doing some side jobs). We’re both dying to get down that way but we’ll kind of have to wait and see. Depends on the forecast as well.

Hey BRiggs and Pink, I’m just funnin’ about bringing anything. The M&F is just a great opportunity to meet a lot of the CF kayaking community and get out and fish different areas. I am in Columbia so I am not able to attend many but, the few I have were a lot of fun and I have met some great guys.
