Does anyone have a house for rent on Edisto? We’re looking at going June 16th through the 22nd. 4 adults and 2 small children. We’re not looking for anything extravagant, just something with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Looking on Edisto realty or vrbo and not findiby much.
I have one available. We get $225 per night with a $150 clean up fee. It is not on the beach, but 1 mile from the pavilion (beach) on Palmetto Road. Covered boat storage area if you are bringing one. 2 acres private. 3 bdrm/ 2bath. 1 mile from boat landing. If you are familiar with Edisto take a right at the True Value (if you are heading towards the beach) and the house if first on the right. Can get pics and stuff if interested. my email is wtoddwilson@hotmail.com. We have never rented this house, but are looking into trying the rental world out.
Father in law rents his place through edisto realty. House is called Wide Open. PM me if you need any more info on it. I did the total renovation top to bottom on the house myself last year. Turned out really nice. It’s in the Wyndham resort area, so you have access to multiple pools and a private beach cabana. Lots of pictures on the edisto realty website.
I have been renting for many, many years and have tried all of the rental agencies. I would say that if you cant find a vrbo rental, Edisto Realty would be my next choice. I have used Kapplyons the last couple years and have been pretty pleased with them as well. Fewer rentals to choose from, but I have not had any issues. Just booked our rental for this summer and went with Kapplyons again. House is block from sound and next door to one we rented for several years through ER, but saved $300. Put that money to a boat slip at the marina. Best of both worlds. Kids get the sound, I get to take the boat. Happy, Happy, Happy.
Same here, PD, I like to take the boat and the wife wants to be close to the beach. I think she finally found something everybody is happy with, thanks everyone for the help and offers. We’ll be going down there a week earlier than was previously posted, but it worked out pretty good.
I rent at edisto ever year and have been using edisto realty, pretty happy with them so far. It is hard to decide between having beach front or deep water dock tho. I like being on the beach but having the boat sitting in the water is very nice also. Took the deepwater dock route last year and I think thats going to be our choice again this year. It keeps us from having to take 2 vehicles too.
