Movin’ to the Edisto next month. They wouldn’t let me past the gate into Kiawah or Seabrook. Something about trailer trash…couldn’t really hear em’. The ol’ pickum-up truck is loud with the cracked manifolds and all.
Y’all should really remember to close the gate behind you.
You should have just showed up, with some leaf blowers and a bunch of rakes in the back of the PU and spoke Spanish to them. You would have gotten waved right through:wink:
I think I will fit in just fine, most of the people I know from Edisto have the same mentality I do. I grew up in the country where it was normal to be great friends with your neighbors and help out however you can, don’t be nosin’ in other peoples business, and always follow up a handshake with a beer offer.
I was told to watch out once people there find out I am a mechanic and to make sure to let the neighbors know I drive to Charleston every day in case they need something picked up.
Pretty close to Live Oak landing…nice! Tons of deer and other wildlife in that area.
I’m near the Old Post Office. We will have to hook up some time and stretch a line

I would like nothing more than to go fishing. Since I just about got all the good spots figured out around Folly and the reefs, I am due for another 3 years of no fish and burning lots of gas.
I do hear good things about Edisto 40 and 60. Can’t wait.
I can’t wait to get this moving stuff done so I can go fishing and exploring. I got a golf cart I have started fixing up just for an island buggy. I will definitely be contacting both of you once I get settled in.
I am also looking forward to archery hunting in Botnay. I hear they can be thick in there, gotta thin the herd and fill the freezer.
