Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

All great stats if they are competing in track and field. The strength thing is definitely a good stat, but the rest of it I could care less. So much of defensive end is body length, arm length, first step and acceleration. It will be interesting to see if they use Beasley as an end or as a linebacker, much like Clay Matthews is used. I am not saying Beasley is not as good or even better at this point. He sure appears to have more drive and maturity at this point in his life. I am not sure Clowney will ever reach his true potential with the micro-fracture surgery, he will probably never be the same player again.

They’re saying he’d be used as an OLB in run support and lined up as a pass rusher in passing situations.

Michael Strahan ran a 4.99 and he is in the hall of fame.

The only one that doesn’t believe facts is you, salty.
First, I don’t care about NFL.
Second, I don’t recall ever comparing them to begin with.
Third, I don’t care about NFL
Fourth, these type of stats do not outweigh want/desire. If clowneys stats were better than Beasley, I think he would be better. Clowney has shown to lack in desire. Beasley seems to have more desire.
Fifth, I don’t care about NFL

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Hey, FishBcomingaround, we agree on something.
And, Clowney has a two tackle advantage in his pro career over Beasley. No way Vic could ever catch up with that margin.
Strahan had the worth ethic and desire to be great as his position, Clowney doesn’t appear to have that going for him.

The box or cone numbers are the bigger deal. Lateral, backwards and forwards acceleration.
There was a story last year about how the Giants wouldn’t have selected Strahan as the 40th pick that year if he hadn’t hit their box drill number. The Giants scout made Strahan do it over and over until he hit the number so he could tell his GM that Strahan was worthy…

How does he “not appear to have that going for him.” He got hurt on a known ****ty field while attempting to block a pass. Landed awkwardly on said ****ty field and the rest is history. I guess he should play hurt to prove himself to his haters?
Charleston City Papers Best Guide of 2014
Really, is that why his teammates have commented on his lack of work ethic. You know, like JJ Watts. Is that why numerous NFL pundits comment on him being lazy, disinterested, not having the heart for the game etc. I hope he changes because when he plays like he wants to be there he’s fun to watch. There’s no hate in it, it’s pretty obvious when you look at his output over the years. When he wants to be great he is, when he doesn’t he half asses it. That doesn’t work in the NFL.

Can you link me to the article where Watts is talking about Clowney. My google turns up nothing.
Charleston City Papers Best Guide of 2014
My bad, it was Warren Sapp that called him out, not Watt.
No one is saying Clowney isn’t/can’t be an impressive, just that he hasn’t shown the heart to be great at his position. He has 120% of the physical tools just not the drive.

Or a coach like Dabo that would want him to play hurt.
Warren Sapp is your source? That’s laughable. Sapp called Clowney out the week before Clowney was sidelined for the season. What is Sapp doing these days?

Fritz can play when he’s butthurt…why can’t Clowney play when he’s just hurt? Oh, wait, that’s not what this thread was about.

What’s Sapp doing these days? Probably counting his money with his Super Bowl ring on one hand and his 7 Pro Bowl trophies surrounding it waiting on his 43 birthday. He can say what he wants, his career backs it up.

What does him paying for poontang have to do with his football pedigree, he knows what it takes to make it in the NFL? If the man wants to shell out $600.00 for a BJ or piece of ass, that’s his prerogative and none of mine, yours or anyone elses business.

I’d say it’s more standup than trying not to pay…
