Juvenile TripleTail

Saturday went to Broad River Bridge with wife and two daughters . Weather perfect and had plenty of bait with incoming tide. Arrived around noon and was immediatley swarmed with hundreds and hudreds and love bugs. After 90 minutes, with a crew who held up longer than expected, we had a to abandon the trip. This is a first for me. Bugs 1 Anglers 0.

Sunday we were visited by a beautiful yellow juvenile tripletial at our dock on Broad Creek.

Fish stayed around a long time and was very tame. I caught some small grass shrimp on the grass growing off dock and we hand fed the tripletail 8 or 10 shrimp. It was really cool. See video

Very cool. We were in St.Helena sound this weekend and those bugs were everywhere! The front of my boat and the windshield was completely covered. We had to get 500yds from the grass to get away from them.
