Anyone have any advice on surf fishing Kiawah? I’ve fished Edisto and pawleys but never Kiawah beach. Headed out there to stay with visiting family and I thought I’d send some time surf fishing

It’s like most any other beach on our barrier Islands; look for troughs, cuts, sloughs, etc. I will tell you that the ends of the island tend to be better that the middle. I’ve had success years ago catching big reds in the surf on the south end. Plenty of sharks this time of year. In general use drop rigs with small hooks and small pieces of fresh shrimp.
